Where is Peace?

One year on... remember?
Of course you remember, on this day, one year back, Mumbai was torn apart with violence, hatred, bloodshed. Today Ajmal Kasab, the only terrorist captured alive is still grinning inside his cell of his, toggling between a volley of statements and enjoying the loopholes of law and order. As per unofficial estimates, an amount in excess of 31 crore Indian rupees have already been wasted on his trial!! If you ask me Ajmal will face one of the following:
1) A death after 30 years owing to old age and natural causes.
2) An escape to Pakistan, like the way Maulana Masud Azhar escaped after the Kandahar hijack!
...worst, by that time, we would have lost many more crores while facilitating his survival!

Everyone is preparing evidences against everyone. And once one set is published, another set is prepared. Years lost in preparing evidences. What about the sufferers?

None is really bothered. Innocent lives are being lost in a hurry.

What did we gain out of these? Satisfied our bloody egos? My religion is bigger than you or vice versa? - oh really?

Pakistan and India - these two nations badly need money in order to uplift the economically backward classes and see, what we are indulging in! More and more money invested in military, in arms and ammunition...

Friends, I am an Indian. But I strongly believe there can be a solution to the historical 'problem', but somewhere the ego should be left aside! We have seen enough blood, enough dead bodies... please... we do not want to see more...

I do not understand politics. It is something that I have not specialized in. But I dislike violence. Probably, I can handle the computer games like Quake3 Arena, but only till that! Never ever in reality.

Think... why do people kill each other? What is the ulterior motive? The day we die, our souls will part our bodies. No gold, no riches, no money, no relationships will ever stay except our deeds. Our deeds will indeed stay.

Friends, never ever be remembered for a bad reason. A terrorist will not be remembered for the "fidayen".... though wrongly motivated people may think so. He will be remembered as a killer... a person who took away a baby from a wailing mother, a wife from a loving husband, a mother from a 8 year old daughter.....

And why did he do it? From a terrorists' perspective? For revenge? An eye for an eye... leaving the world blind? Blind, we are... blind are the politicians... blind is our ego... So what is the difference of a savage animal with a human being! Why do we educate ourselves? Why do we read religious scriptures? Do they teach us to ill-treat our fellow human beings? Do they teach us to beat them up?

No... I am not supporting any religion here. But yes, I do have a religion. Everyone does. But the point is we should be adaptable to others. A sin committed by a group of individuals should not be taken as that committed by the community. Am I making sense?

Temples, Mosques, Churches, Gurdwaras are all holy places. We should respect each of them. All are paths to the God - the almighty. We as children, were always taught the same as per Indian customs. But there are bloody politicians who ruined these holy thoughts.

See the result. We fight and nations who produce ammunition are laughing their way to their bank balances. Naturally... who are their customers? We... India and Pakistan!!

Kasab - a mere pawn in the whole game! The sad part is, he still has no remorse for what he did.

And finally, the personnel who laid down their lives in the service of their motherland, performing their duty... my salutes to them.. or else the attack could have taken the lives of many more!

But... is 26/11/2009 much different from 26/11/2008?

True - there are differences, there are conflicts, there are challenges, there are diversities, but the reason we stand together to this day is our unity in integrity.

Friends - Let us not compromise the dignity of our motherland on any pretext. You cannot see you mom bleed. Can you? So, we should not let anyone hurt our motherland!

Indians should strive to respect every guest in this country on the lines of "atithi devo bhava..."(Guests are as good as God). But given a challenge, where our unity, integrity, sovereignty and freedom is threatened, we should be powerful enough to retaliate strongly!
Terrorism in all forms, in all names, in all pretexts should never be let to grow. We are a free nation and we have every right to lead our lives in our own ways.

No nation is perfect. India is also not. But, we have the onus on us to make it perfect. We fail to understand the meaning of freedom simply because we were fortunate enough not to experience what slavery meant.

India is a land of great men and women!

Stop! Think! Ask yourself - are you carrying the legacy forward? Are we upholding our values and principles?

All is well! Partying, catching movies, playing pranks, working like work horses - all come and go! At the end of the day, what is it that we are giving back to our motherland?

I loved Gandhiji's talisman.

It reads - “I will give you a talisman. Whenever you are in doubt, or when the self becomes too much with you, apply the following test. Recall the face of the poorest and the weakest man whom you may have seen, and ask yourself, if the step you contemplate is going to be of any use to him. Will he gain anything by it? Will it restore him to a control over his own life and destiny ? In other words, will it lead to Swaraj (i.e. self-rule) for the hungry and spiritually starving millions ?
Then you will find your doubts and your self melting away.”

Please try to follow this, so wonderful that this can be applicable for everyone, irrespective of nationality!

New York - The movie

I saw the movie "New York" today. Yes, this is one movie worth seeing. The story line is engaging and the director Kabir Khan has been able to extract power-packed performances from all the actors. Irrfan Khan is very good, as usual. But I liked the performance of John Abraham. Katrina is gorgeous on screen and adapted to the role pretty well. Neil Nitin Mukesh is also very good - this guy would go a long way!

The most important reason why I liked the movie is: The vicious circle has been depicted really well. The plight of the South Asians in the States post 9/11 was miserable. And everyone was viewed with suspicion, whether or not he/she was really involved. And once you got inside, there was no escape at all. Terrorism cannot ever be supported under any circumstances. But while dealing with it, it is important to see that innocent people are not dragged into the muddle. But to the dismay of many, exactly that was done. Probably, as Irrfan's character (the FBI cop) said at one point of time, "Everyone was right in his positions". But, this created a mass dissatisfaction and disappointment - and probably ruined the lives of many.

The movie has depicted all of these really well. The emotion, the drama, the action - all have been a treat to the eye. Looks like this would be another Box Office hit. Go catch it in a theater near you and get back with the feedback!

The feat of the Indian Navy

Wow... another of those incidents when the Indian Navy showed its class. Most of you must have read about the recent incident when the air borne marine commandos saved the Liberian merchant ship MV Maud from the hand of Somali pirates. Those who have not, here is the link. Go through it and feel proud.

Well, the Indian Navy has really come a long way since the day of its inception in 1612. Today, the navy has an enviable fleet of warships and destroyers which are capable of disarming any potential threat. And the most potent of all is the crew of naval staffs and officers who have taken every pain to guard the Indian coastline.

But, it was not all roses for these maritime warriors. The Indian navy came in for a lot of flak for their inability to detect and stop the perpetrators of the 26/11 Mumbai massacre, when the terrorists hijacked the fishing trawler Kuber and entered the metropolitan through the sea route.

But their marine commandos, better known as the MARCOS did a fabulous job along with the police and NSG in eliminating all the terrorists, except the only one captured.

All in all, the scar of the Mumbai attacks and other atrocities on India shall remain forever, but, to the men who brave all odds to save our life and property and protect our motherland, we salute and bow with deep gratitude!

The Sins

Came across this post, as I was blog hopping. I was shocked!
No amount of contempt is enough to condemn the incident. Look at it closely:
A 17 year old girl is made to lie on the ground and beaten with a rod brutally all over her body as hundreds of people look on. After the 'punishment', the girl is taken away.
Sad. Very sad.
But I am against condemning a particular community for this, simply because, such incidents are common everywhere in all communities, the only common factors being illiteracy, poverty, frustration and primitive behavior and yes, a subtle criminal intent.
Here are a few examples:

• Lynching is common across all races in all time lines. Check this link. It shocking, shameful and sad.
• A 55 year old woman lynched in Bihar by 5 girls. Here is the link.
• Check what the Maoists did here.
• Remember Abu Ghraib prison cell? Check Wikipedia here.
• And then the famous beheading by Taliban militants. I don't think there is a need to share the links.
• Do you know about the SriLankan atrocities on either side?

So? My point is: It's the case of mass illiteracy, cruelty, lack of moral behavior and ethics and the biggest of all: THE LACK OF HUMANITY, OF UNIVERSAL BROTHERHOOD.

We typically like to group people based on Nationality, Race and what not! But as all Indians are not snake charmers, all .......s are not terrorists or brutal creatures who commit sins like what was described as the first incident of this post.

But, it goes without saying that all these fundamentalists, terrorists and .... need to be dealt with severely, if we want to make the world a safer place to live. All those people who think they are God (read Satan) and have the authority to give punishment to other people without the verdict coming through an established court of law deserve TO BE HANGED TILL DEATH.

But, please, let us not pin point a particular group! May common sense prevail.

Cricket under attack

Away from the blog for the last couple of days, I had been preoccupied with mundane tasks. However, the last few days had been no short of incidents, the most prominent being the attack on the Sri Lankan team by the terrorists. No act of contempt is enough to condemn the deed. Hitting out at innocent sports personalities who were also proud ambassadors of their own nation defies all sense of morality and principles. However, I am crazy to have even expected this out of them, who do not spare babies and children!

Straight talk: Pakistan needs to tighten up the screws on the fundamentalists, if at all they want to avert such incidents. We are all amazed at how all the miscreants could leave the scene unscathed. Invariably, comparisons with the Mumbai attack are being drawn, but the cops and security forces out here had acted far more efficiently by nabbing one alive and killing the rest.
Today they blame India for the whole act (without any proof!). How funny! And to think all the terrorist outfits have their roots in their own land! Clearly, their democratic (or pseudo democratic) Government is incapable of reigning in the extremist elements and the army! Since independence, how many times have they been under a democratic form of Government? Every time, the country has sought democracy, it has been overturned!

I read in the newspaper today that former Pakistan cricketers like Miandad and Butt are blaming Chris Broad for maligning their security forces, 6 of whom had laid down their lives. However, how can we ignore Broad's words! The ministers are provided 6 to 7 times security than what the Lankan team had been provided with. This, after all International teams had declined to play matches in Pakistan and the PCB was in dire need of money! Still, there was a time when the whole contingent was being fired at indiscriminately and none of the security forces were at sight. Khalil, the driver of the team bus had been able to drive till Gaddafi, but what about the other vehicle. It was left at the mercy of the terrorists! Younis Khan has reportedly commented and requested the whole world not to let Pakistan cricket die and not to alienate the cricket crazy nation. Yes, we are all with them! But when will they kill the root to all these? When will they stop blaming India and look at rectifying themselves? When will foreign teams and delegates be provided with top notch securities? When will their cops stop yelling things like,"Why don't you drive yourself?"(when requested to help out of a war zone)? When will enmity and hatred give way to peace and friendship? Do they have answers to all of these? I guess not!

Terrorists, rest in peace

Finally the war on Mumbai has been won. Kudos to our security forces who dealt with the challenge with awe inspiring precision and technique. However, in the process, we lost top cops like: Hemant Karkare, Salaskar, Kamte. We lost commandos like: Major Unnikrishnan, Gajendra. And we lost many more martyrs from the security forces. But believe me, these people who gave away their lives for the cause of the motherland will inspire every Indian mother to give birth to their clones. Any jehadis reading this post? Come and kill us. How many will you kill? We are more than a billion. Do you have those many bullets? And if you faulter, you know what is in store for you. Don't you? So, come hypocrites. We welcome you to the Indian soil! Come only if you want to die. Remember, Indians are courteous, they treat their guests well, but that is only their mannerism, their ritual, custom, NOT weakness!

The intentions of the separatists are pretty clear:

1. Drive away foreign investors, so that India does not get share of the mullah.
2. Encourage anti-national sentiments among minority groups.
3. Instigate communal disharmony.
4. Make the economy weak.
5. Target top cops and kill them, so that our very own gangsters can do whatever they wish to and also the ongoing investigations are hampered!
6. Enough evidence that our good old neighbours have been very helpful in this regard, not withstanding the trust that we Indians have in them.

I have much pity for the young innocent boys who fall into the trap. They are taught to hate Indians, they are told that minorities out here are ill treated. I welcome them to my courtyard. Come and see their status. See that they not only enjoy equal fundamental rights, but much more than that! Don't be misled by what the brainwashers teach you.

I am lost for words at this juncture. I don't know what do they gain out of all these. If they are so worried about their brothers, why don't they invest in education, hospitals, relief and all ways of charity. Why use up all the resources in destruction of large scale? What's the use? What do they think they are gaining out of all these?

Any jehadi there??? Speak up! Answer me!

I know they won't. They are basically psycho, suffering from intense inferiority complex. They are jealous of the progress that India and the developed world are making. So they want to cripple us.

But they would never be successful in their overtures. You know why?

Coz, always GOOD WINS OVER EVIL.

Gone are the days when the roadside taporis would have a sip at their glasses after a hard day at work and murmur songs like these. It's all so tense now. People huddle together behind close doors lest a stray bullet finds its way into their frame.

As the counter insurgency operations continue for two long days, the situation is still not under control. Security agencies are trying their level best to curb the threat posed, but owing to hostages who are trapped in the middle, they cannot go for a full-blown attack. Only time will tell, how many more civilians and brave officers would sacrifice their life. The retards have left no stone unturned to ensure that the peaceful life of the Mumbaikars is distorted. But India cannot lose to petty threats like this. Hypocrites, like what these people are, who kill innocent people, take them as hostages and fire indiscriminately at unsuspecting officers CANNOT ruin the dream of a billion people. India stands tall amidst all these and we Indians, will ensure that terrorism in all its forms, is wiped out with no trace whatsoever.

To be pardoned till we die

I was just going through a post by Vishesh. The post was really very special as it probably succeeded in reducing my frustration and anger and also, taught me to think logically in these hours of crisis. The questions were obvious.

1) Why do few people turn so violent?

2) What are their needs?

3) Do they have some sort of complications?

4) Are they blackmailed?

5) Are they deprived of happiness?

6) Why do they get brainwashed starting from a tender age?

7) Why do they kill innocent people mercilessly? How can they?

8) Are they on some sort of sedatives or drugs, that they lose all common sense?

9) If it is indeed religion they are fighting for, then does it teach them to kill innocent people?

Once I get bored of anger as an emotion, it is grief that encompasses me.

Someone had told that a small child is like a mould of clay. Whatever shape you give to him, he takes it. I feel it is ditto with these guys. From a tender age they learn to hate and only hate. They are born and brought up in such a way that they have never looked at us as fellow brothers and sisters. They have only one word for us, ENEMIES and to teach us a lesson they would go to any extent, any, even if that means blowing themselves up! Pity, that they did not get to learn what the sages have taught for years.

"Live and let live" is not for them.

I totally agree with Vishesh that hatred gives rise to hatred. But, a tricky question that crops up in my mind is: If someone kills your mother with an AK47 in the middle of the highway, will you chant hymns of peace? But Vishesh, in spite of so many doubts in my mind, I have put your picture on my blog post as well.

See, you can counsel people like us, but can you counsel them????? Howsoever I wish, you could... even for that matter, if at all somebody could...

To be hanged till death

The integrity, freedom and sovereignty of India has again been threatened. Read the story here. How long? How long will these cowards hit from the back. They are damn hypocrites who do not have the minimum common sense so as to spare even a five year old baby. They do not deserve our kindness. Enough has been said and done. It's time we act sternly. They need to be battered and left for hungry dogs to tear away their flesh. They are inhuman. If not dogs, let they be hanged until death. And please, for all those people who cry for human rights, these bastards are not human by any remote stretch of imagination.
